DAY 1 of the 12-Day Holiday Hootenanny, 2012!

Hey, kids! Welcome to DAY 1 of our festivities here at Women and Words! All of us here are SO excited to do this. Many, many thanks to all the authors and publisher (BSB, we’re looking at you!) who donated books to get in on the fun.

Today’s offerings are listed below, in the order they’ll be given away. So the first name we draw will win Andrea Bramhall’s book, the second will win Carrie Carr’s book, and so on.

To enter today’s drawing, leave a comment on this blog entry. Include your email address at the comment prompt (it won’t be seen publicly). To avoid spam-bots, don’t include your email in the body of your comment. You have until 10 PM EST US (here’s the world clock link) to enter. At that point, we’re doing the drawing and we’ll post the winners here, on the Day 1 entry.

And every day is a new contest. That means you need to enter each day to play. Otherwise, the elves get confused. Thanks.

And a reminder to authors: if your book is featured today, please don’t participate in the drawing. Cuz it’d be weird to win your own book!

Have fun and good luck!

Andrea Bramhall, Ladyfish (Bold Strokes) WINNER – ANITA BRADSHAW
Scuba diving instructor Olivia Zuckerman loves her work, loves her play, and enjoys the latter with a lot of different women. Then one day she has to pick up a new trainee at the airport, much to her chagrin. Daniella Finnsbury-Sterling is in search of herself, and trying to escape an overbearing father whose reach extends further than she thinks. Will sparks fly in the Florida Keys? Or will the waters of the Gulf douse the potential?

Carrie Carr, Heart’s Resolve (Regal Crest) WINNER – KAY
Former Park Police Officer Gibson Proctor returns to the rural area she once called home, after spending 20 years with the Texas Dept. of Parks and Wildlife. She’s trying to settle in, when she inadvertently manages to offend fiery architect Delaney Kavanagh over the repairs of a spillway at a local lake. Kavanagh’s already in a relationship, but for some reason, she can’t get Gibson off her mind. . .

Laurie Salzler (Blue Feather Books), winner’s choice of either Kiss Before Dawn or Right Out of Nowhere (the latter available 2/2013) WINNER – KATHY SKARUPA
Country girl Chris Martel has struggled all her life to find and make strong relationships. It seems she’s much better with animals, until veterinarian school graduate Mary Jo Cavanaugh enters her life. Can the two of them put their baggage aside to create something? Or will somebody from Chris’s past lure Chris away?

Chris Paynter (Blue Feather Books), winner’s choice of one of the following: Playing for First, Come Back to Me, Two for the Show or Survived by Her Longtime Companion WINNER – ROWAN
Chris’s latest features Bailey Hampton, hired to work on a biography of the late film star, Daphne DuMonet. Cool project, until she finds out that DuMonet’s surviving longtime companion has also brought in Bailey’s ex to help with the project. Can Bailey and her ex build something new, using the past as a guide? Or was this whole thing a really bad idea?

Clifford Henderson (Bold Strokes), Romantic Interludes 2: Secrets WINNER – LISA T
An anthology of passionate, sensual love stories featuring authors Clifford Henderson, Erin Dutton, Radclyffe, Meghan O’Brien, Jennifer Harris, Ali Vali, Gun Brooke, Lisa Girolami, Merry Shannon, MJ Williamz, and many others. Click HERE for more info.

L.T. Marie, Three Days (Bold Strokes), WINNER – KJ HURST
Dakota Riley has to go to Vegas for her best friend’s wedding. She’s so not looking forward to it, the 20 women in the party she can’t stand, and the Vegas heat. But she goes, and when her best friend introduces her to Shawn, her best friend’s oh, so intriguing cousin, the three days in Vegas suddenly might not be enough.
