Hey everyone! It’s day two of the Hoedown! We thought it would be nice, since the event is scheduled for five days, to feature the authors who are contributing this time around. We have four days, including today, to cover twenty authors. That means five each day. SWEET!
So as you’re getting all your BBQ gear and stuff ready for the 4th, hang out with us and the elves a bit to get in on some free book fun! To enter, click on the Rafflecopter button below.
Here’re the first five!
Tea & Crumpet anthology signed by Stevie Carroll
Stevie Carroll was born in Sheffield, England’s Steel City, and raised in a village on the boundary of the White and Dark Peaks. After this came a university education in Scotland, while writing mostly non-fiction for underground bisexual publications under various aliases, before creativity was stifled by a decade of day-jobs.
Now based in Hampshire, Stevie has rediscovered the joys of writing fiction, managing to combine thoughts of science fiction, fantasy and mysteries with a day-job writing for the pharmaceuticals industry and far too many voluntary posts working with young people, with animals and in local politics. Her first solo collection A Series of Ordinary Adventures was published by Candlemark and Gleam in May 2012.

A signed copy of Beyond Innocence by Carsen Taite
Carsen Taite works by day (and sometimes night) as a criminal defense attorney in Dallas, Texas. Her goal as an author is to spin plot lines as interesting as the cases she encounters in her practice. She is the author of five previously released novels, truelesbianlove.com, It Should be a Crime (a Lambda Literary Award finalist and recipient of a Lavender Certificate award from the Alice B. Readers), Do Not Disturb, Nothing but the Truth, and The Best Defense. Her sixth novel, Slingshot, which, like some of her prior works contains a heavy dose of crime, is scheduled to be released in June 2012. She is currently working on her 7th novel, Beyond Innocence, which is to be released in late 2012.

A signed copy of Broken Trails by D. Jordan Redhawk
D Jordan Redhawk was born in California in 1961, but managed to miss the sixties entirely. A part of me vicariously thrills at the idea of protests and sit-ins and the like, despite the fact that she is a self-proclaimed stodgy loner.
She stumbled across fan fiction in the late 90’s. When she ran out of stories to read, she began writing her own.

A signed copy of Stealing Second: Sam’s Story by Barbara L Clanton
Barbara L. Clanton lives and writes in Florida. She’s also a Math teacher, a softball pitcher, a ASANA Hall of Fame inductee, and plays bass in a band. In other words, she’s about as well rounded as a person can get.

A signed copy of In Keisha’s Shadow, by Sandra Barret
Sandra Barrett grew up in New England, where she spent more years than she cares to mention as a software programmer. She 0moved to California for
a time, but that proved to be too much sun and fun. So now she’s back in New England. She lives with her wife, two children, and more pets than are probably legal to own (and sheep… let’s not forget the sheep).

As long time Redhawk fan, I look forward to anything she produces!

Blu, good point. I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t think of this to begin with. I’ve added an option for leaving a comment on a blog. That can be done without facebook.
Good luck!
