5 Paragraphs

Ever notice that sometimes, even though we love it, writing seems like a job? Maybe not the writing itself, but the schedule some of us have to keep.  Like any other writer, writing is my salvation from my work-a-day world. It’s what keeps me going. I retreat into it to feed (save?) my soul.Add Spice to Taste Cover

But it’s still hard work. And the deadlines—whether contractual or self-imposed—can be brutal when you work a 9-to-5 job.

And that’s why this blog post is only 5 paragraphs long—because I’m hard at work on putting the finishing touches on my novella, Add Spice to Taste, which will be available very shortly. It’s already overdue and I’m stressing out. So, I’ll have something more interesting to say next week. Hopefully.

Tune into the Liz McMullen’s Lizzie’s Bedtime Stories on October 30. She will be When the Clock Strikes 13airing a special Halloween episode, and if you’re interested, you can hear my story, “Love Bites,” in its entirety and which appears in the just-released paranormal anthology, When the Clock Strikes Thirteen. And I was fortunate enough to be featured in Ylva Publishing’s Spotlight Interview. Thanks, Ylva!

Please join me this weekend at LesFic Reader on Facebook. I’ll be answering questions on Saturday, from 3 to 5 p.m. and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

  1. Holy smokes! Look at everything you’ve got going on! I, for one, am super excited about your novella. It combines two of my favorite things: food and romance. How can that not be a winner?
