Thanksgiving

thanksgiving-turkey-5I’m pushing up against a deadline for my latest book, so this blog is going to be short and to the point. Next week, here in the U.S., we celebrate Thanksgiving, a holiday usually commemorated by eating too much food and watching football. In addition to eating turkey and pie, I like to spend this time of year reflecting on all the things I’m thankful for. There are too many to list them all, but here’s a sampling: my wonderful wife, my loving family, the entire staff at Bold Strokes Books as well as my fellow authors, and all the readers out there who encourage me to keep writing, including all of you who follow this blog.

Now it’s your turn. List at least one thing you’re thankful for and your name will be entered in a drawing for a free ebook of my latest release, Courtship, which hits shelves everywhere this week.

  2. I am so very thankful for my partner. We have been together for 12 + years. A few years ago I had what should have been a routine surgery. I developed complications on top of complications. I was heavily sedated and they could not get me stabilized but she knows me and had them turn on a tv for me, it helped lol. (I would need 14 more surgical procedures) She was there every day even though I was hooked up to tubes and wires and was on a vent. Hers was the only voice I responded to, I would get shaky (vitals, breathing etc ) when she was late (keep in mind I was on a vent and heavily sedated, It was just instinctive) I KNOW she is the only reason I am alive now. After 2 months when I got to go home she would change my bandages, hook me up to my IV nutrition, Cuddle me when I cried about the pain…she is my world. I am so very, very blessed and so very thankful to have her love me!

  5. I’m thankful for coming through a long, “learning I’m OK alone” time supported by family and friends. I’m thankful for my son and daughter in law and most especially for my granddaughter. She always makes me smile. I’m a fortunate woman, with many reasons to be thankful.

  11. I am thankful for my friends and their invitation to attend their “Annual Orphans Thanksgiving”. It’s a gathering of a smattering of friends and chosen family who are alone at thanksgiving for one reason or another. The couple that throw the bash fill all the food with love and by the end of the night, we are happier than if we had been, well, i am happier than if i had been with my family of birth, so HEY, it’s a great time! (just to post something different from everyone else!)

  13. I’m thankful for every morning I’m given to open my eyes. It’s another day I’m allowed to feel, love, and share with others. I’m thankful for the very roof over my head, the warmth and security of our home. I’m thankful knowing the problems we face are minor. I’m grateful for the unconditional love of my dogs, and the opportunity to give them the best life possible. We are blessed, and for that I’m very thankful.
Wishing everyone good health and happiness for this Thanksgiving, and for all the days that follow. Cheers!!

  16. This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful to have my family together under one roof. I’m thankful for a partner who is supportive, two amazing kids, and a place to rest our heads. I’m also thankful for the opportunity to not only go back to college, but to do it without the additional burden of working full time around classes. More than anything, I’m thankful to be alive!

  17. I’m thankful for my 2 Beautiful Nieces who keep me going with their love of life. They constantly do and say things that makes me feel like my heart with burst because i am that full of love for them.

Haven’t got to see them for weeks as i have been stuck in bed as don’t like them seeing me on my bad days as it upsets them. I miss them everyday.

I am also thankful to all the amazing BSB authors who keep me entertained and distracted through the bad days.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate xx
