First I’d like to give a big shout out to all the folks who commented on my last blog – Thanksgiving. I was truly inspired by everyone’s expression of gratitude and I immediately decided to give away not one, but THREE, ebook copies of my latest book, Courtship! After a random drawing, the lucky winners are Barbara G., Ona Marie, and Allison Mugnier. Ladies, check your email today for information about claiming your copy.
Last Friday at the stroke of midnight, I turned in the manuscript for Lay Down the Law, the first book in my new Lone Star Law Series. I haven’t written a word since then and I’m getting kind of twitchy about it. I already have a contract for the my next book, a stand alone romantic intrigue, titled Reasonable Doubt, but before I start writing it, I need to do some planning.
See, I’m not much of a planner when it comes to individual stories – I like to start with an idea and see where things go from there, but when it comes to planning a production schedule, I’m all about the details. I already have a contract for a novella for 2016 (hello, Luca Bennett Bounty Hunter) and I plan to have two full length novels released that year as well. The way my brain works, I need to get these new proposals squared away before I can have a clear head to start work on Reasonable Doubt. I’ve got the bones of a few story ideas in mind, but I’m still working on titles and main character names. This has become my end of the year tradition – planning new stories. Do you have any end of the year traditions related to writing or anything else?
Have a great day!
