New Year – New Projects

Happy New Year! I’ve really enjoyed reading the rest of the Women and Words crew talking about how they approach the start of a new year and balance starting fresh with staying true to who they are. I don’t have any profound thoughts to add on the subject, but I too want to talk about what’s new in the coming year.

My spring release (just in time for the Lone Star Lesfic Festival in Austin) is the first book in the Lonestar Law Series: Lay Down the Law.

Lay Down The Law 300 DPI Big Oil, lots of crime, deep dark family secrets, and some kick-ass lawyers and law enforcement heroines. My fall release is the novel I’m working on now, Reasonable Doubt. It’s a standalone romantic intrigue that features one of the secondary characters, FBI Agent Sarah Flores, from a previous novel, Rush.

image001Luca Bennett gets some action too, in a short story titled Colt 45, which will be included in a crime fiction anthology, Lesbians on the Loose: Crime Writers on the Lam, edited by Lori Lake and our very own Jessie Chandler.

While all of those projects make their way into the world, I’ll be starting the second book in the Lone Star Law series, Above the Law, and a Luca Bennett novella to be released next spring.

Obviously, I’m looking forward to a busy year 🙂 What are you looking forward to this year either in terms of your own projects or new releases from your favorite authors?

  1. Great to hear you have some new work on the press! I have read all of your work and look forward to the new stuff!

  2. Hi Carsen, Just finished reading your “Courtship” a week or so ago (it was a Christmas present to myself!) and very much enjoyed the story! I will be looking into your new series as well as going back to find anything else I have missed of yours!
