Before Its Time – Book Giveaway!

Box of Reasonable Doubt Greetings! I just received this box full of my upcoming release, Reasonable Doubt, a standalone tale of romantic suspense. Although the book won’t be available to the general public until September, let’s draw names for a chance to win an autographed copy right now!

To enter, just leave a comment below telling us why you like romantic suspense and some of your favorite titles and/or authors in the genre. I’ll draw a name on Sunday, August 23rd and contact the winner. While you’re waiting to find out who won, check out the synopsis for Reasonable Doubt and click on the link below to read an excerpt of the book:

After a tumultuous career as a criminal defense attorney, Ellery Durand enjoys life without tales of drugs, death, and double-crossing. Until she wakes up one morning to find her bank accounts frozen, her face on the front page, and the peace sheโ€™s come to treasure shattered in the wake of an FBI investigation. Can she convince the agent in charge to trust her? Can she trust the feelings that grow between them?

After years investigating heinous crimes, FBI Behavioral Analyst Sarah Flores welcomes a transfer to white-collar crime and the chance to have a life of her own. Her relief is short-lived when her first case involves a terrorist plot, and all signs indicate the terroristsโ€™ attorney constructed the framework of their evil conspiracy. Attracted to Ellery from the start, can she trust her instincts to lead her to the truth or will their attraction cast doubt on everything she holds dear?

  18. Suspense is great as it takes you on a journey of thrills and possible kills but the romance element is great to keep the balance so it’s not all doom and gloom. some of my fav’s are VK, Cari Hunter and Kim Baldwin and Xenia.

  19. I’m such a sucker for romance and i love some action with my romance, that’s why i love Carsen Taite’s stories, especially ‘Lay down the Law’. I mean who wouldn’t enjoy a sizzling romance between a texan rancher and an heiress? Add in some family scandal and what you get is a tested formula for a great read. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  20. I can’t wait to read this one, suspense and FBI behavioral unit makes it my favorite type of book! Some of my favorites would be the Hunter and Ross/Sullivan series by G. Hill, Scarpetta series by Cornwall (not to much on romance side), Season of the wolf by Summers. I’m about to start Seeker by Black.

I’ve only read a couple of Taite’s books so far, Lay down the law and Courtship and am looking very forward to reading the rest of her books. This will be a must have when its released!

  26. Oooo, hard to pick a fav romance/suspense … Cari Hunter is one of my favorites in this genre. Oh … Kate McLachlan’s “Murder and the Hurdy Gurdy Girl” and Sarah Dreher’s “Stoner McTavish” (series). I KNOW there are a ton more I can’t think of right now. I must say though I can’t ‘handle’ TOO much suspense ๐Ÿ™‚ I like yours, Geri Hill, Radclyffe, Kim/Xenia’s as well.

  27. Wow, too many titles and too many authors to choose from. I like romantic suspense because you get to experience the romance between two great characters and follow them through the “getting to know you” process. When that process is a rollercoaster of excitement and defying the odds, it makes it more exciting.

  29. Reasonable Doubt sounds awesome! I love the action genre of movies and I think that translates into a serious love of action books in the lesfic genre. Add in a lesbian romance to the storyline and it’s everything I need- fast paced action, twists and turns in the plot, lesbians…what more could a story ask for? As for favorites…tough one. I think my all time favorite in this genre is “Engravings of Wraith” by Kiera Delacroix.

  36. I enjoy the romantic suspense books because it allows the writer to have two different themes going. We can enjoy the romance of the characters as well as the suspense of the book. It allows the reader to divide their emotions in two separate categories. Some of my favorite authors but not all are: Carsen Taite (of course), Kim Baldwin, Ali Vali (I love the Cain Series), KG MacGregor, Radclyffe, Skyy, and JLee Meyer. I mainly read romance books but occasionally find a good read in a romance and suspense and if you throw in the mob storyline like Ali Valiโ€™s Cain Series then it is a double win. She is the only author I have found who wrote about a lesbian mob character as well as the romance in the story.

  37. I have always enjoyed mystery type stories. Perry Mason or Miss Marple anyone? Just two years ago I was introduced to lesfic romance. Combining those two elements makes for the perfect story! Right now I am just getting to know the writing of Baxter Clare Trautmann and Isabella. I am always looking for new authors to discover. Thank you for your generous offer. Good luck everyone!
