Randomness and a FREE Book!

Congrats to Sandi! She won the drawing!

Happy Sunday, folks! Sadly, I don’t have a guest blogger for you today. The schedule fell through at the last minute, so I thought I’d bring you some fun bits of randomness. Yeah, I know, you’re stoked.

First, as I’m sure most of you know, Andi Marquette, my co-admin here at Women and Words, and I are friends. Occasionally, we get together and chat. Not too long ago, we did that with the “purpose” of recording a reading from her latest release The Secret of Sleepy Hollow. If you want to listen to us being us, followed by Andi reading an excerpt, and concluding with more of us being us, you can check it out on SoundCloud.

Listen NowWhen you’re done listening, you can go HERE to buy the ebook for slick $4.99.

In other news, I have a few short stories in some anthologies that have hit the shelves recently (or will soon).

TalesoftheGrimoireFirst up, I have a story about zombies and sex (Don’t even ask how I managed to meld those two. I have NO idea.) included in the Halloween anthology edited by my buddy Gill McKnight and Astrid Ohletz. The story is called “Rise and Shine” and the anthology is Tales of the Grimoire. It’s on sale now AND $1 from each book sold goes to a charity in Greece to help with the influx of refugees from Syria. If you haven’t heard what’s going on in that part of the world, you should take a look at youtube and watch some of the videos that show what people are going through. It’s heartbreaking.ย  Pick up your copy for $6.99 HERE. You’ll feel good about doing your part to make the world a better place.

cover_A_Do-You-Feel-What-I-Feel_Holiday-2015_500x800Then, I have another short story that has nothing to do with zombies or sex in the holiday anthology Do You Feel What I Feel. My story is called “This Thing” and it’s all about young lesbians in love at Christmas. It’s very sweet. Seriously. Also, a portion of the proceeds from this anthology goes to charity as well. The donations will be split between Isis House, a homeless shelter for queer youth in Seattle, Washington, and the same relief group working with refugees in Greece. Yes, you can purchase this for $6.99 as well. RIGHT HERE!

51KEaY8iVjL._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_Okay, last short story plug for me! Later this month, Lethe Press and the fabulous Sacchi Green will release Thunder of War, Lightning of Desire: Lesbian Military Historical Erotica. I’m lucking enough to have a story included in this collection. It’s called “Moment of Peace,” and it’s set on an island in the South Pacific. Two female soldiers are cleaning the mess hall one night and badda-bing, badda-boom, one thing leads to another. Yeah. So. Lesbian sex. It happens. ๐Ÿ™‚ Check that out HERE.

Now, about that FREE BOOK! Let’s do this. Leave me a comment below and I’ll give the winner her (or his) choice of Do You Feel What I Feel, Tales From the Grimoire, and The Job. Ebook. I’ll draw the winner on Friday, October 23!

Good luck!

    • I have been busy! I just wish I’d been able to do a bit more writing on my novel. But I have a publishing date nailed down, so now I have an even bigger reason to get to writing!

  2. Looking forward to listening to the writer’s chat and the reading. That’s so cool of you guys to offer this opportunity. ๐Ÿ™‚ And I’d love, love, love a copy of an anthology featuring zombie lovin. ๐Ÿ˜€ Congrats on all the new stories coming out. Hope the books sell a lot.

  3. Loved your story ‘Rise & Shine’ – zombies are my favorites, besides badass ladies who slay them, of course. ๐Ÿ™‚ Congrats on all the publications.

  4. Thanks for a chance to win some interesting reading! Great interview with Andi also! Thanks! Her “Sleepy Hollow” book sounds great!

  5. I’m dying to read “Do You Feel What I Feel” especially! Please put me in the drawing. Thanks so much! Ona

  6. So…there is a truly surprising amount of zombies + sex in the m/f romance world. Off the top of my head is an m/f/m post-apoc zombie romance by Charlotte Stein, a whole series of them by Kylie Scott, Love with a Chance of Zombies by Delphine Dryden and a really, really bad piece of erotica involving, um, an actual zombie. Which was distressing, but at least free. I regret reading it. Every time I see another one my surprise is renewed. But this seems to be a thing that is not going away!
