When it comes to writing books, I’m a big-time pantster, planning only one scene at a time, but when it comes to everything else in my life, I’m little Miss Detail. One of those details has to do with marketing my work, and a subset of that is travel to book events and I’ve already started planning for more events than ever before. Here’s what I’ve booked so far:
Lone Star Lesfic Festival, Saturday, April 2nd in Austin, Texas.
Houston Pride, Saturday, June 25th, Bold Strokes Authors Booth, Houston, TX
GCLS Conference, July 6th through July 10th, Washington D.C. (this one’s a bonus because I’ll be working on a book set in D.C. this year, so I’ll get to do some on the ground research)
Dallas Pride, September (date TBA), Bold Strokes Authors Books, Dallas, TX
Women’s Week, October 10th through October 16th, Provincetown, MA
WaveCon, March 11, 2017 through March 16, 2017, LGBTQ fiction conference at sea! Cruising from Fort Lauderdale
Add into the mix my publisher’s retreat in late July and I’m pretty jazzed about all of these opportunities to mingle with readers and fellow writers. I hope to meet some of you at these events!
