Lone Star Fun

One of my favorite events of the year is coming up – the Lone Star Lesfic Festival in Austin, Texas. This free event is in its eighth year and features a full day of panels and readings with over twenty authors in attendance. I’ve been lucky enough to be involved with the festival since its inception and last year it was the launch site for the first book in my Lone Star Law series, Lay Down the Law. To keep the tradition going, this year, we’ll have copies of the second book in the series, Above the Law, available for sale at the festival even though the official release date isn’t until June!

DEA Agent Dale Nelson paid the ultimate price for her service when her wife was killed by drug dealers. Now sheโ€™s assigned to a task force investigating the suspects and she doesnโ€™t need the distraction of the beautiful but infuriating reporter, Lindsey Ryan. Despite her initial resistance, Dale discovers that Lindsey is as talented and capable as she is attractive. Will she get a second shot at love, or will the peril of her job rob her of the chance at happiness again?

Investigative reporter Lindsey Ryan will do whatever it takes to get the truth. As a favor, she agrees to anchor what is supposed to be a puff piece on the DEA. However, despite the reluctance of the striking Agent Nelson to share any information, Lindsey learns power and politics are at play, and exposing the truth could not only be dangerous, but could jeopardize her chance at love.

And to show my love for all you wonderful folks who read this blog, I’m giving away a signed copy of Above the Law right here! All you have to do is leave a comment below, and I’ll announce a winner by Monday, March 21st. Paperback copy mailed to U.S. residents only, but ebook copy in any format available to winners outside the U.S.

If you happen to be in Austin on April 2nd, join us at the festival. All the details are here.
