A Glitch in the Matrix?

We’re living in very strange times. That, I’m sure, no one will argue. I’ve heard many things about this era we’re in—it’s the apocalypse/Armageddon/end times; it’s the final shit before we enter the Age of Aquarius; and, most intriguing to me, it’s a glitch in the matrix.

Very briefly, when there’s a glitch in the matrix, it means that something happened that shouldn’t have happened. Some believe that alternative universes cross, and we end up with a result in our universe that only should have happened in the other universe. (I think everyone understands what an alternative universe—also known as parallel universe—is, but in case you don’t, it’s when another reality—several, in fact—exists parallel to ours, but with slight differences. For example, in a parallel universe, the Beatles never broke up.)parallel

So, is it possible that somewhere out there, there’s an alternate universe in which Trump was truly supposed to be voted in as president of the United States and, somehow, a glitch caused our worlds to collide and we got pissed on? It would explain the feeling of disbelief that rippled across the country and, in fact, the world. This was not supposed to happen. Well, maybe it was…just not here.

Everything going on in the world right now seems surreal, and who knows the reasons. I’m an open-minded person. I don’t discount the possibility of anything. Call it a Libra thing.

Is there a god? Maybe, maybe not.

Were there ancient aliens? Maybe, maybe not.

Does Nessie or Bigfoot exist? Maybe, maybe not.

Are there alternate universes? Maybe, maybe not.

I do like to see facts and proof of things, but I’m also willing to accept that there are things in the universe that we don’t understand and maybe never will.

What do you think? Is there a glitch in the matrix?

  1. I worry that we ARE the alternate universe (you know, Holocaust, Reagan, climate change, Trump) and somewhere I’m living my same life (because it’s actually pretty good right now) but without the chaos all around and with a future I don’t have to fear. By the way, I just started Octavia Butler’s The Parable of the Talents, written in the 1990s, and she has a presidential candidate in the 2030s say, “Help me make America great again.” So either Trump’s speechwriter was a fan or science fiction should be paid attention to!
